For christ’s sakes! Help people in need!
When you see someone is sad, depressed, or expressing hating ideas, HELP THEM OVER COME IT! Don’t like it, don’t try to sympathize, don’t give them the idea that it’s ok to think like that just because you and a lot of other people feel the same way. HELP THEM TO FEEL BETTER!
So many times I see post like “I need to be skinny” or “I hate myself” or “I’m not good enough” on facebook and tumblr. What do people do when they se those posts? The click like on those posts. And if they comment on it, it’s usually to say “I feel the same way” or something to that affect. Stop it. If you know how horrible feelings like that are, why don’t you try to help others so they have those feelings instead of letting a fellow human being wallow in pain. It’s just sad,
I really wish girls would stop saying “I wish I looked like her.”
You don’t have to look like anybody else for any reason. There no such thing and the “perfect body” or “perfect face” or whatever. There will be many people who will pick out flaws in you, no matter what you look like. Whether you see it or not, what makes you beautiful is not having a certain look, it’s realizing and embracing everything you are. The world needs uniqueness, so why take that away by trying to be someone else ?
I had to spread this around :D
Question:Do you honestly believe no one can love you if you don’t love yourself?
I see that phrase posted on tumblr a lot and it really makes me think. As sad as it is to say this, I can’t say that I love myself. I have made much progress with combating my depression, but I still have episodes of extreme sadness here and there. However, I still try my best to show love and happiness to all of my friends. Whenever I am dealing with those episodes of sadness, they are always there for me and do their best to keep me strong. They’ve told me that they love me and they know that I don’t really love myself.
So please, explain to me why is it that I person who doesn’t love themselves? I just don’t believe that, no do I want to believe that. The love and support I have from my friends are the most important think I have in my life right now.
A great idea can come from anyone!
I get told I am skinny all the time.
Happiness has never come. I have had to choose it every single day.
"Open your eyes
you see me as I find you
reflected in one another’s view
you have to know we’re not alone out there..
So here we go
sometimes you just need
to change the shading of
your outlook and see
the truth that’s right
in front of you.
There is so much more."
Beauty is in All: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT!
No matter how skinny you become, mo matter how much makeup you wear, no matter what clothes you put on your body, there will always be people will try to make you feel like you’re not good enough. Those are people who live a world where people feel it’s ok to make others think there ugly, who want everyone to be the same, and don’t care about the repercussions of their actions. They live in a world where hatred is ok. That’s not a world anybody should want to live in. Despite what these people want everyone to believe, EVERYBODY IS BEAUTIFUL. Weight doesn’t matter.
Being big or small doesn’t determine or beautiful a person is and it doesn’t determine a person’s worth. The only real disgusting people are those who want to make others feel bad about themselves and think they’re being “good and helpful people.” These people don’t want you to know that there is a better world out there, a world where people aren’t small minded jerks. A world where people appreciate the quality of a person’s character, and in that, makes that person beautiful, inside AND out. It may not seem this kind world doesn’t exist, but I promise you that if you go out and truly look, and let yourself experience the world out there, you’ll find them a lot sooner than you think.
As a person with depression, I know my words aren’t going to “cure” any one who reads this. Dealing with self hate is much more complex than that. And I know it’s hard to trust want I’m because the media makes it seem like being skinny will give nothing but happiness and will make your life easier, but I promise you, the world is not that bad. Just hold out a little longer and look, I promise you’ll find people make sure you know that you’re beautiful and and amazing the way you are now. Whether those people are on the internet or real life, you’ll find those people if you try.
